Holy crap, it’s almost June! When the BBQs are sizzling, the kids are almost done with school, and your couch is calling for some prime summertime bingeing. Whether you’re into superhero suits, soapy reality shows, or twisty teen thrillers, June 2025 is stacked with new series that’ll help you escape the heat—or at least the family group chat. Just like last month, I’ve rounded up a list of new TV shows premiering across streaming and cable that are worth keeping on your radar. Let’s dive in.

Anticipated Returns
The Bear S4 (June 25, Disney+) The Emmy Award-winning series returns with Season 4, as Carmy, Syd, Richie, and the rest of the crew push forward with the restaurant. Determined to survive and not close down, they strive to take The Bear to the next level yet again. I have been looking forward to this season quite a bit because Season 3 felt like it was setting things up. The real question is, can we savour or do we gobble it up all at once?
Squid Game S3 (June 27, Netflix) The third and final season of Squid Game returns, picking up from the second season’s devastating cliffhanger. This new season thrusts Gi-hun back into the brutal heart of the games, as he’s determined to dismantle them once and for all. Still haunted by the betrayal of his closest ally, Gi-hun faces new perils, including The Front Man.
The Gilded Age S4 (June 22, HBO, Crave TV in Canada) Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened, and the Russells are ready to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that could elevate the family to unimaginable heights, while George risks everything on a risky idea that could revolutionize the railroad industry, but hurt him first.
Something New
Stick S1 (June 4, Apple TV+) The story of Pryce Cahill, an ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After his marriage falls apart and he gets fired from his job at a sporting goods store, Pryce decides to hang his future on helping a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi.
The Waterfront S1 (June 19, Netflix) Based on true events, this series takes the generational TV drama to coastal North Carolina, where the Buckley family rules all. But when the father, Harlan, suffers two heart attacks, he has to loosen the reins and make way for wife Belle and son Cane to handle the family business, as well as the complicated addiction recovery and rehabilitation of daughter Bree.
Countdown S1 (June 25, Amazon Prime) After the flagrant murder of a Homeland Security officer, various branches of law enforcement unite to form a task force and investigate the killing, including LAPD detective Mark Meachum.
Smoke S1 (June 27, Apple TV+) An adaptation of a true-crime podcast about serial arsonists who burned their way through Southern California and the efforts to catch them. What grabbed me? It’s the same group that did Black Bird. Sidenote: It’s funny that Apple is launching a show called Stick and Smoke so close.

Other Shows to Mention
- Tires S2 (June 5, Netflix) I found this Shane Gillis comedy funny, and honestly, that’s all I wanted from it.
- Ironheart (June 24, Disney+) Riri Williams will once again don the Iron Man–esque power suit she designed herself and become Ironheart, this time to protect Chicago from the dark magic of the Hood.
- Nautilus (June 29, AMC) This aired in the U.K. last fall, and now AMC will air the adventure series in the U.S. It’s a Captain Nemo origin story, which follows him as he builds the titular submarine and sets about a course of righteous piracy.
- Grenfell: Uncovered (June 20, Netflix) This feature length documentary examines the disturbing chain of events that led to Grenfell Tower fire in 2017.
What Are You Watching?
That’s the story for June 2025. Whether you’re looking for lighthearted escapism or something darker and binge-worthy, there’s a fresh new show waiting to hook you. I’ll be watching a few of these myself—purely for research purposes, of course. If I missed something big (or if you want to hype your fave), drop me a line or leave a comment. And hey, if nothing here grabs you, at least it’s patio season.
