Yesterday on HRM Parent, I did a post listing off a few of the dirty little secrets I have kept to myself while being a parent. You know, those little secrets you keep to yourself, whether they were done by accident or on purpose.

1. Pretending to be sleeping when your kid comes in the room at 4am. Yes, I have done it. The boy comes in to our room in the middle of the night and I have pretended to be sleeping until my wife takes care of it. This also happened for both boys when they were babies.

There are so many things that we have probably been keeping from our kids, spouse, friends and the world. Well I say, let’s stop judging. Let’s open up the can of worms and let everybody know.
How bad could it be right?
Let’s make a giant list of things we do that society says you should not do. I should also express to the parents who take things way too serious, this post is probably not for you. It’s all in fun
So dads, and even moms who want to participate, what secrets do you want to share? Talking to my wife and friends, this topic is a real conversation piece and it also makes us all feel much better as we wage this war called parenting.
