The Office Australia: A mixed bag of nostalgia and novelty

I love The Office. Whether it is the original starring Ricky Gervais or the surprising US version starring Steve Carel, I could not get enough. So the recent release of The Office Australia on Prime Video had me very excited to see if they could strike gold again. As the 13th adaptation of the iconic series originally created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, this version attempts to carve out its own identity while paying homage to its predecessors. Here’s a look at what makes it stand out and where it falls short.

Oh boy, what a piece of news. Sony dropped the trailer for the next edition of Ghost of Tsushima. This time the adventure moves to a different part of Japan – Ghost of Yōtei.

I was a little late to the Tsushima party and had only played it over the last month. It came out in 2020, but due to word of mouth, this game has become one of the all-time best. Now, there is more.

I would describe it as a few people sitting around and talking about what is going on in the world, but they are not just complaining. They are digging deep into actual topics and having a very interesting conversation about them.

Breaking down Doug Ford’s BBQ skills

If you live in Ontario, you know that the LCBO is on strike. That means no wine, beer, or spirits for now from Ontario’s number one place to stock up on booze. As this is not a political blog, I am not going to get into the strike and who’s right, who’s wrong, and the 56 different opinions out there. I hope it gets solved soon. I want people to go back to work. I want people to be able to easily get their alcohol again. I also certainly never want to see Ontario Premier Doug Ford BBQ again.

On Monday the leader of the Province posted a video that featured an interactive map that shows where you can buy booze while the LCBO is on strike. Again, not what I want to focus on. The whole thing stinks in my opinion, but as a backyard BBQ guy, all I could focus on was the actual grilling. Have a look for yourself.
