Tired, Can’t Blog, Must Be Doing A Good Job At Parenting?

Good afternoon all, how goes the battle? Have you ever wondered how many mom and dad bloggers seem to have all day long to write posts, share photos and engage on social media? Are they super-talented on the multi-tasking front? Are they ignoring their kids and letting the TV babysit them?

I often wonder, because to be honest, the last few days, I have been way too tired to blog or even think about sitting at the computer to write.

Our two boys are just bringing it, when it comes to keeping us busy.

So what is the secret? What are other parents doing or not doing? I would love to get the goods. This blog would be so much better if I had several hours a day to create content, engage on social media and do the necessary networking it takes to build a top-notch website.

Even writing this short post to let the search engines I am still alive is taxing because I know at any moment, one of the boys is going to wake up and need feeding, attention, play time or a snack.

That being said, I would choose any of those things over sitting here and writing to a bunch of people I don’t know.

So am I parenting too much? Ha ha, can you really do that?

Are other parents with blogs not parent enough?

Where is this magical middle ground that let’s us raise normal kids and still grow that Google Pagerank?

Dad blogger and Mom bloggers, I want your help. Do share some of your secrets?

1. How many kids do you have to take care of?

2. How many hours per day to you blog?

3. What outside help do you have if any?

Can’t wait to get some feedback that I can add to my daily grind.

This post was brought to you by the letter T for tired.

  1. I’m clueless. With one kid, I blogged while he had his first nap, cleaned during his second. I woke up early to get things done. With two (and while I was home) I spent my entire day blogging – mainly because I’d sit down for five minutes, then get up and be with the boys, then sit down for another five minutes. It was super fragmented.

Now that I’m at work, I simply don’t know where to fit it in.

    • Yeah I can see how that goes. As it is my line of work (blogging, online marketing etc.) I know exactly what to do, I just don’t have the time. Some days are better than others but I am still impressed/amazed at what others accomplish with their online blogs, brands and profiles.

  2. I mostly write when they are in bed at night. I might be exhausted, but I just push through it:)
