The Toronto Transition Is Now Complete

Has it been over six months already? Where did the time go since we left our house in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to move back to the big city of Toronto?

When you include kids, selling a house, packing four people’s lives up and everything else involved, the Toronto transition was easily the biggest change I have experienced.

Well thanks to a few events from the past week, I am happy to say, the transition is complete. The chapter is over. It’s time to move to the next act.

What events do I speak of?

Well it all started with Katie getting the job that started the whole move. Then getting the kids settled. Then finding somewhere to live.

See where this is going?

The only piece left was for me to find a job.

Top 5 Shows Our Kids Are Watching

TV and kids. You want to avoid it, but at the end of the day, it’s going to happen (unless you don’t have a TV).

So it becomes the parent who has to decide what is best for the kids to watch. You want to find the right mix of entertainment and education. It can be tricky that’s for sure.

Our boys get a few hours of TV over the course of a day and we are okay with that. It gives us a chance to get dinner ready or have a sanity break.

Here are the Top 5 shows are kids are watching these days.

Well Hello There Terrible Twos

I have heard about it but never experienced it. The Internet says it is real, but can you believe what you read?

Today, I got a very slight glimpse of what many have spoken of.

The terrible twos they call it.

Our youngest, turned two on Friday and over the last few days, it is like he did some research on how he is supposed to wield this new age at us.

Small things like disagreements, not wanting to sit at the table, not wanting to go a certain way or even wanting to sleep.

Then today, his first day back at work let’s say (Monday), our boy went to work on being two.

Terrible is harsh. Maybe let’s call it tiring twos.

Me being the one who is tired.

Renting Vs Buying In Toronto

Since we moved back to Toronto, we knew it was going to be a gigantic challenge to find somewhere to live. We were lucky enough to have a buffer thanks to my wife’s parents. They are away until December, so part of the plan was to live in their house, while we figured everything out.

The figuring where we are going to live part of the adventure has arrived.

We currently are two minutes from everything and anything and are kind of being spoiled where we live now. So we do our best to remind ourselves that pretty much anywhere we land next, won’t be as good. No worries, it is a process.
