Highly Anticipated New Shows
The Chair Company (Oct 12, HBO/ Crave in Canada) An office comedy where the copier breaking down is the least of anyone’s worries. From Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave), this series starts with workplace awkwardness at a Midwestern chair manufacturer and quickly swerves into a full-blown conspiracy thriller. Think fluorescent lighting, petty coworkers, and government-level paranoia—all in the same breakroom.
DMV (Oct 13, CBS) What’s this? A sitcom? On TV in 2025? The new single-camera comedy, set in a DMV, follows the employees of the East Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles — including a former English teacher, a driving examiner, a former bouncer, and a charming surfer — who must navigate work together.
Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars (Oct 10, Apple TV+) This might be a little TMI about the food scene, but what the hell. It’s Apple, it will look very good. Following Michelin Guide inspectors who dine undercover with fake IDs and numbers to award stars, travelling from Los Angeles to London.
Notable Returning Shows
The Diplomat S3 (Oct 16, Netflix) This is one I have been looking forward to since the Season 2 ended. The third season of the Emmy-nominated drama will feature higher tension than ever, following the second season’s explosive finale. Grace Penn and Todd Penn are the new president and First Gentleman, shortly after British Ambassador Kate accused Grace of creating a terrorist plot. Now, Kate is forced into a role she never wanted.
Tracker S3 (Oct 19, CBS) A show that isn’t great, but I still enjoy the weekly process that CBS is king at. In Season 3, Colter continues to try to accept his family’s surprising past while Jensen Ackles returns to help him on a new case. I believe many of the main characters are not returning for the new season. We shall see if this all tracks.
Loot S3 (Oct 15, Apple TV+) There are not enough funny 30 minute shows anymore. Thankfully, Loot keeps coming back into our lives. The 10-episode third season, led by Maya Rudolph, will continue to follow The Wells Foundation crew as they work together so Molly can live up to her promise of giving away all of her vast fortune.
Nobody Wants This S2 (Oct 23, Netflix) I admit, I don’t watch this show, but my wife raves about it. So it makes the list. In Season 2 of the Emmy-nominated comedy, Joanne and Noah are fully committed to each other and to bringing their families together. Still, their differences still exist and can’t be ignored.
Mayor of Kingstown S4 (Oct 26, Paramount+) One of my favourite shows. In Season 4, Mike’s leadership role is threatened by new players who compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. He is also forced to work together with a new Warden (Edie Falco) to protect his family.
What are you most excited to watch?
