Well that was some outstanding weather in Halifax today. I think the temperature hit 24 Celsius. The sun felt great as well. Based on how easy it was to put both boys to bed, the weather certainly wore them out.
Today was a two boy day and so it was perfect to have a sunny day for being outside.
The day got off to an odd start as Harrison slept in until 8:30 am. He is usually right on the money between 7 and 7:15 am. Guess he was out late partying after we went to bed?
After the morning of naps, cartoons and cleaning up, we packed up and headed to the library.
It was a warm walk, but a good one. So much to see and once again, fresh air to breath in.
Once at the library, we played with toys and looked for new books. It was also the first time Charlie got to sit on the floor there and not be trapped in his car seat. He loved that.
We got some books, had a quick snack and hit the road for home.
By the time we were back in the living room, we were all pretty tired. Quick lunch and then the boys went for afternoon naps.
I was able to get some stuff done during this time, knowing once they were up again it was back outside.
I also dozed off for a bit and we all slept past the usual 4:30 pm cut off for naps. Whoops.
Oh well, we were back outside to ride bikes and play games. Poor Harry, his face was all red from the sunscreen. He has pretty sensitive skin.
Katie got home and the rest of the day was as normal as any other Wednesday.
It is so nice that it is 8:42 pm local time right now and it is still light out and a nice breeze is blowing through the house.
The bummer – the next few days are supposed to be all about rain.
A future story to tell you about. Harrison is going without his “nighttimes” tonight. Just underwear and pj’s. We will see how that plays out.
Okay, time for Survivor and sleep. Until tomorrow.
