Looking back, I am quite surprised by just how many series I watched. For those who kept up with my monthly TV power rankings, you probably have a good idea of how my list will go, but I have to admit, there are a few shake-ups upon reflection. Before moving forward, I want to get one thing out of the way. I did not watch Severance. That’s why it’s not there. Beyond that, this list is entirely a subjective look at what I truly enjoyed. We had a historic year for television, and if your favourite show isn’t here, it’s not because it was bad; it’s probably just because I was too busy watching Tires for the third time to get to it. Now, let’s get into my list of favourite TV shows of 2025.

When I was younger, the week after the Emmys was the greatest time for a TV fan. All of the new shows were back in full force, and the summer rerun season was over. Kids today have no idea what it was like, seeing repeat episodes for basically four months. Well, the Emmys are over, and look at that, many big-time shows are hitting the schedule in October. It’s time to cook a turkey and get cozy. From gritty thrillers to feel-good comedies, slick spy games to spooky atmospheres, this month’s premieres are here to keep you glued to the screen. Whether you’re bingeing or pacing yourself week by week, there’s something new every kind of viewer will want in their queue.
