So, who is behind this new venture – Like A Dad? Why is it happening? Why does the world need yet another blog?
Well, the answer is me. My name is Michael and on the web I go by Cuzzy. I have been blogging and learning about online marketing etc. for over 6 years now. I certainly was not a natural and I did not think I would end up doing it. I was a TV guy through school and for the first several years after. I thought I would work in television forever. But life changes and you have to roll with it.
Of course with the subject of the blog, I am a dad. I have been a dad for over 3 years now and it is the best thing ever. I have two boys who keep me learning, laughing and tired all the time. But I would not trade it for anything.
I always pictured myself as a dad and could not be happier the way it has turned out.
In our house there is a happy 3 year old and a happy 2 month old. They will be the stars of this blog going forward. They provide the cute factor, the research, the laughs and most importantly the experiences that I get to share with you. I know there are thousands of other blogs out there doing the same thing, but whatever, everyone has a story to tell.
Based on my past successes blogging, I am pretty confident I know how to entertain. So we will see. A lot has changed since the last time I did the launch a blog thing. Social media is huge and making sure you build relationships that way is critical to success.
Hard to believe when I was launching and building my last blog, people were not sure about this whole Facebook thing.
Anyways, back to the story.
I am a dad in my high 30’s. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and have a wife and 2 boys. We have a dog and a cat and going on 50 tiny cars spread all over the house.
I work in online marketing and love to blog, write and learn about new online technology. I am a big sports fan and even bigger fan of televison. You will soon see that TV will creep into this blog a lot going forward. I am a tea addict and pun maker. I am good with words and quick with the the comebacks. My background is English/Scottish and have a small town way about me.
My dad style? Well it is pretty laid back and easy going. I try to keep things light and calm but of course everyone has their limits. A laughing kid is a happy kid I say.
I am an active participant in the parenting in our house. For the most part we try to keep things 50/50 and short of breastfeeding, I think I have proved I can handle or take care of just about anything (post birth of course).
My wife, who like the mystery of just being my wife online, is an amazing mom to. She is hard working at whatever she does and I think out personalities combine to form a strong one-two parenting tag team. She is truly the momma bear in every way for her boys and I think that is just fine.
So that is a brief catch up about this blog and myself. It takes a lot of time to create the back story, so be patient and all I can say is, it is my goal to make you smile or laugh if you check me out a few times a week.
