So, our 3-year old has started a very odd habit each night after he goes to be and it is almost like clock work.
Bath, book, bed is the usual and for a long time it was all it took. Now, about 10 minutes after we leave the room, he gets up and screams for dad from the top of the stairs. We even know it is coming and it still makes us jump. It is loud.
But all it is for is a chance to go to the washroom one last time, which is great. But we tend to think it is a stall and a hope that we just say, no you can stay up.
So he goes pee, head back to bed and we leave the room. 10-15 minutes later, he screams again. Same thing. Pee, back to bed and this time he actually falls asleep.
Two times, every time.
It would not be so bad if I would stop going down to the basement and getting comfortable, justo to run back upstairs 30 seconds later.
I guess it will run the course just like every other change in the nightly routine.
What do you think? Anyone else have a similar experience? Other odd bed time act outs?
