Today is the first “normal” day for the family. My wife started her new job (the reason we are here) and I am home with the boys. Back to being a SAHD at least for now.
The plan is to look for work and only take something that is exceptional. You see, we don’t want to do double daycare. With Harry starting school in September, it makes sense to get to then and do the single daycare.
So I get to basically have my second summer in a row at home with the boys. How lucky am I?
They are napping right now and I will say, this city makes it easy to tire out kids.
Harrison has adapted so well to date. He loves it here. There is so much to see and do, he has not had a second to miss Halifax and his friends. We know he does, his mind is just on overload.
Every day we can walk to a park and experience the life on the street.
Our temporary home is on the Danforth. We are staying at the in-laws house while they are away for 5 months. It is a great old house situated so close to everything.
We are figuring out where stuff is, mixing in our own belongings from home and trying to establish the new routine.
Things are going well so far. I mean in the background there is a lot going on with trying to sell our house back home and doing all the processes to get going here, but overall, it’s pretty solid.
It did not take long for me to rediscover my love for Toronto. It just feels like home and I am happy to report, the boys are acting the exact same way.
With my computer being set up again, I hope to get back into the daily postings I know you enjoy.
If you are in Toronto, give me a shout.
