In the wee hours of the morning today as I gave my emails a quick scan before getting up, one subject line caught my eye.

Canadian Weblog Awards nomination

Cool, it is always nice to get nominated for something.

As I looked into it later on in the morning after dropping the kids off, this is what it said.

Like a Dad has been nominated for the 2013 Canadian Weblog Awards in the Family & Parenting and Life categories.

Great way to start off a Wednesday I would say. Yesterday I had an article published on The Good Men Project and today, a blog nomination.

For those who have never heard of these awards, the 2013 Canadian Weblog Awards are a juried competition that dish out nominations in 34 categories between February 1st and October 31st, 2013.

From there the nominees are contacted (like me) and then a shortlist will be announced on December 1, 2013, and the winners will be announced on December 7, 2013.

Talk about a quick turnaround. In only a few weeks, I will know if I made the cut.

Thanks for the nomination. There is no voting to be done. No popularity contest to take part in. The judges will make the call.
