Need A Paw Patrol Birthday Party Fast? Just Yelp For Help

It’s Paw Patrol to the rescue for all your kid party needs.

Our boys have always been big fans on Paw Patrol. Those helpful dogs have been a part of our lives for a good six years. So of course it is the perfect theme for a birthday party or end of school party or any party for that matter.

I was given the opportunity to try out a cool service that makes planning a Paw Patrol party a piece of cake, no pun intended.

I also was sent a box full of Paw Patrol party favors that I will get to in a sec.

First of all, the planning of the party. No job is too big as they say.

The fine people at Toys “R” Us wanted us to try out a cool way to set up, organize and send out RSVP and thank you messages to all guests.

The product is called PercyVites and it is an innovative line of personalized video invitations and thank you videos starring your kid’s favorite characters, your kid’s photos, and all the other party details. What I liked about the product on my first try was it was pretty quick and easy. I love being efficient when planning, so PercyVites was sure to deliver.

Paw Patrol

All I had to do was go to a website, enter in the needed information for each step and the magic of the internet created a short video that was emailed to the people you invited to the party.

As we did not have an actual birthday party to run in the time frame of the review, we turned to a BBQ party we had with our neighbours. All the kids were fans of the Paw Patrol so it was perfect.

I had the invites done in 10 minutes and the email videos were being watch shortly after that.

That’s the first part done. On to the actual party.

On the day of the party we used a number of the party favours to decorate the table. Hats, plates, balloons, bracelets and more.

It was well received by the kids.

Fast forward through the party and to the days after.

It’s time to send out a thank you note for coming. For those who host a birthday party, you want to send a thank you for any gifts as well.

Well, just like with the invite, you can easily make the thank you video using PercyVites. You plug in all the information, your message and a video is created that you can email.

The Honest Take

PercyVites is a cool option to really personalize your birthday with a theme your kids love. It shows up on a screen. It excited the child who gets to see it. All that is great. It also handles the RSVP part without having to buy physical cards and mail them or hope they reach the kids somehow.

All great for those who like that kind of thing.

Me personally, I still like old school invites that are hand written and delivered by snail mail or in person. It was a lot of fun to have all the Paw Patrol items to decorate our BBQ party and the kids have watched the video invites and thank you’s over and over. So it was a win in my books. Try it for yourself and let us know. Learn all about Percyvites here.

I want to state that I received the party pack for the purpose of a review but my review and opinions are still my own. Thank you to Toys “R” Us for giving us a chance to test out PercyVites and the box of party items. All kids were very happy.

5 of My Favourite Halloween Costumes Inspired by Netflix

As the candy bags start to dwindle in size, I am finally getting around to my Halloween post for October. Yes I have been a bad #streamteam member but for this blog entry it actually works in my favour to be running behind. Now that it is a week after Halloween, I have seen all the best costumes and enjoyed all the effort some mega Netflix watchers went to.

Every time I checked Facebook or Instagram, there was a new frontrunner for costume that rocked and cleary came from the mind of a Netflix binge artist.

As my kids did not use Netflix as their inspiration this year I had to go to the Internet. In case you are wondering, they were a Gorilla and Kevin Pillar of the Toronto Blue Jays.

All ready to rock on Earnbridge. #halloween #pillar #gorilla

Can Our Kids Learn Anything From Netflix?

Raising one kid is challenging. Raising two, well it doubles the fun. We have two boys who are six and three. But the three years between them can be much closer or much further depending on the situation. Sometimes our youngest acts older to move towards his brother, sometimes our oldest reverts because he sees what can be gotten acting more toddler like. It’s a giant learning experience for us all.

So how does a very present aspect of our household (TV/Netflix) actually become a learning tool for the boys when they are at two very different ages? What conversations are sparked? Can they enjoy different shows as well as find common ground?

That was the question put forth for the #streamteam crew this month.
